Black Hex Modular Van Pod – Phenolic Resin Plywood
Part of our Black Hex range, this pod is constructed from phenolic resin plywood, making it an extremely durable, weather-resistant solution for van life. If you’re looking for a premium pod built to handle all conditions, this setup is designed to last.
This pod can be made to fit any van. The photos shown feature a 1900mm x 1200mm bed, which suits most SWB medium high-top vans.
Rear Storage Sections
At the rear of the pod are two lift-up sections supported by gas struts. Weight-saving cut-outs are included to improve mattress airflow.
Internal dimensions:
Section 1: 540mm (W) x 470mm (D) x 350mm (H)
Section 2: 620mm (W) x 470mm (D) x 350mm (H)
Modular Bed & Bench System
The bench pull-out is split into two sections, allowing the bed to be configured as:
L-shape
U-shape
Full bed
This flexibility makes it ideal for all-weather camping.
Rear pull-out section: 800mm
Middle section: 600mm wide
Inside the 600mm section is a large open storage area, perfect for bags, pots, pans, and other essentials. Access is quick and easy via the front opening:
Front access opening: 480mm x 240mm
Cooking Drawer & Prep Area
The 800mm section features a 700mm pull-out drawer mounted on locking 120kg-rated runners, suitable for any double gas burner.
Cooking area dimensions:
670mm (L) x 400mm (W) x 100mm (H)
At the end of the drawer is a pop-up table, providing extra length for food prep and chopping.
Beneath the cooking area is a cubby space suitable for plates, gas canisters, and accessories. This area can be accessed by removing the top panel if you’d prefer it to function as a regular drawer.
Cushions (Optional)
Cushions can be supplied for this setup at an additional £450.
This includes four separate cushions, designed to suit all modular bed configurations.
